Affectionately known as Magic, Antuan is author of “Becoming Magic”, a TEDx Lincoln Square Speaker and childhood sexual abuse survivor. His company, Soldier of Love® works to educate and empower others towards successful career development, both onstage and off. Antuan’s mission and purpose as a Soldier of Love is to empower and encourage each of us to live a whole life. A life where mistakes can exist, where fear is not debilitating and where vulnerability is not a weakness. He does this by sharing his own life experiences from a place of candor, compassion and respect, both for himself and his audience.
The New York City-based Advocate/Educator/Author/TEDx Speaker is using his voice to help those that have not found their own. Shortly after becoming a member of the Office of Victim Services Advisory Council in NYC, he was selected as Plenary speaker for their statewide conference. He has given keynotes at the University of Virginia, the SPECTRUM Conference in Albany, NY, the United States Merchant Marine Academy and was a panelist for the Mens’ Sexual Assault Summit in Albany, NY.
With more than 20 years of professional performance experience, he has developed a Theatre education workshop titled “So You Think You Can Swing?”, has performed with the Pulitzer Prize and 11x Tony Award-winning “Hamilton” as the first male Universal Swing, covering the six male ensemble members for the five U.S. productions. Selected credits include the 4x Tony Award-winning In the Heights (Broadway, Off-Broadway and First National Tour—First Vacation Swing,Graffiti Pete Understudy, Associate Dance Captain), and six years with the Radio City Christmas Spectacular (Ensemble). “Becoming Magic: A Path of Personal Reconstruction” is Antuan’s debut as an author and is available for purchase online.
