Dona Edwards worked in corporate America for over 20 years starting as a mechanical engineer specializing in space shuttle and satellite technology before changing to the field of law. As a senior legal executive, she drove the global intellectual property strategy, managed litigations, and provided general legal advice. She left her successful career after a life-changing event, that had many twists and curves, led her on a path to her true passions.
Dona is a TEDx speaker who loves to share stories and speak on many topics that have touched her life including fashion, adaptive fashion, scoliosis and disability awareness. She also uses storytelling to encourage new ways of thinking on subjects such as diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, empathy and compassion. She shows up as the truest form of herself and believes that perseverance is essential to keeping dreams alive. Her goal is to take you on a journey with her by being vulnerable, funny, and inspiring.
Dona is a graduate of Stanford University where she earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering, a JD from George Washington University Law School and a MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
